  • Despite Philly’s gay bar scene shrinking in 2024, The Little Gay Pub—an elevated, D.C.-born spot known for its sophisticated vibe and queer-centric décor—has opened at 102 S 13th St. in the Gayborhood, complete with local twists like a banana daiquiri homage to “The Father of Modern Philadelphia.”

  • The Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll makes its semi-annual comeback on Thursday, June 5th, turning 40th–51st blocks into a $1, $3, and $5 shopping and eating extravaganza from 5–8 p.m.

  • From June 4th–8th, the University of the Arts’ Hamilton Hall will host a four-day “celebration of life” to mark one year since the school’s closure, featuring musical performances, speakers, and an altar built from salvaged artwork and remnants of the institution.

  • Franklin Square will glow nightly from June 20th through August 31st as the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival returns. Hundreds of animal-shaped lanterns and a 200-foot dragon, plus live performances and food vendors, will light up the park every evening.
