What up, Philly! Oh my god, it’s so hot it’s literally gross. I haven’t left my house all day, and am not planning on doing so. At least it’s supposed to downpour this weekend… could be refreshing to and from the club… Alexa, cue Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield 🌧️🌧️🌧️

Welcome to the annual July 4th FreedomFest, one of the biggest festivals in Philly on Independence Day! Don’t miss out on an evening with two beer gardens, two stages of music, a kids zone with games and rides, a 40-foot Ferris wheel, river barge fireworks, food trucks, and more at Pleasant Hill Park. RSVP to stay in the loop.*

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Who’s ready to rock?! Johns Hopkins-born rock band Pinkshift is coming to Ukie Club this August. Their top two songs are called “BURN THE WITCH” and “EAT YOUR FRIENDS,” if you wanted to catch a vibe. See you at the gig.

  • Indie rock band Vundabar is playing Spruce Street Harbor later this summer, which is absolutely wunderbar. Plus, the show is free and open to the public. Just bring a hammock and a beer, and you’re set.

  • Step into the dreamworld of the 1980s where eyeliner ran deep, synths shimmered, and guitars wept with emotion. INFINITE 80s is your portal to the post-punk, new wave, and alt-pop legends who defined a generation and reshaped our lives. Tickets are available now.

  • Plus other just announced shows from Pissed Jeans, Titus Andronicus, Brian Fallon & The Painkillers, Paul Cathen, Queen of Jeans, and more!

WHERE TO WATCH THE WORLD CUP

The only thing worth leaving the comfort of your air-conditioned home right now is an ice-cold beer and a great game of soccer. ICYMI, there’s a little thing called the FIFA World Cup happening right now (We know, it’s pretty underground). Here are some of our favorite sports bars to go to for cheering and groaning at the TV with the crowd.
